External HDD won't start games

Discus and support External HDD won't start games in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Like the title says, my external HDD won't start any games.     External HDD won't start games


    Like the title says, my external HDD won't start any games. I just get the message saying that it took too long to start the game. It's been like this since January if this year, after working flawlessly for 4 years. I need my extra space..

    Xbox start up is slow, and the external HDD won't connect.

    External HDD won't connect to my console, also the games are taking too long to start. I've tried to restart the console and power cycle the whole system, also the black screen will pop up every now and again

    Xbox One external hard drive question.

    Hello everyone External HDD won't start games :)

    I am really glad that you won't have to re-install games if your Xbox One goes bad External HDD won't start games :)

    I am going to have to transfer all of my installed game stuff to my External HDD when I eventually get it External HDD won't start games :)

    Can I transfer the stuff from the Xbox One HDD to the External HDD without having to delete the game and re-install it to the External HDD?

    First off, let's try out our guide here for this error message that you're seeing.

    Second, want to make sure our bases are
    covered     in regards to your External Hard Drive that you're using.

    Be sure to keep us posted on your progress!

    Where do you store your digital games? Are they on the internal HDD or an external HDD?

    If it is external, what make and model HDD are you using?

    Could be that the game isn't streaming fast enough but the above info should give us a starting point to help trouble shoot with you.

    Hi!

    If you have the game installed on an external HDD, try disconnecting the HDD and connecting it to a different USB port. Turn on the console and try to start the game again.

    External Hard Drive problem

    Uninstall the games that won't transfer, re-install the games to the external HDD and then when you launch the game it will re-sync your progress with the cloud.
