External hdd troubles.

Hi all. I am experiencing the most weird thing I have ever seen on my console. I have the xbox one s 1tb. I have an external 1tb hdd that I have been using for a while no problems. I have a 2nd 1tb hdd that I have used to check see if this was a one off
or for both an it's turned out to be both. When I plug in either 1tb hdd they don't show up. But as soon as I unplug them they show as plugged in. I've reset my console, formatted both hdd and still have same problem. I've also tried partitioning the drives
to 2x 500gb and still same happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a system error. Maybe it was an update. Wait for the next update.

I have been having the same issues it seems just to be a random thing. I would try unplugging the hard drives , then unplug the console for five mins, then plug the console back in and then the hard drives and see if that helps

If what @ITILIANM0NST0R suggested diet work, it might be a bug in the new update. I would let tech support know.

If the External HDD meet all the specs you can play the games directly without any trouble, now some games dont work properly on external HDD.

Where do you store your digital games? Are they on the internal HDD or an external HDD?

If it is external, what make and model HDD are you using?

Could be that the game isn't streaming fast enough but the above info should give us a starting point to help trouble shoot with you.
