  1. External HDD/SSD information

Hi all, i'm interested in adding an external SSD to my xbox one.

I've read that the minimum size is 256GB. While searching the web for an affordable SSD i've found this "Samsung 750 EVO MZ-750250BW SSD
250GB". Do you know if this is compatible? Or that little difference makes it unusable with my console?

    Thanks in advance

    :)

Rise of the Tomb Raider only starts with DLC installed, if console is switched offline.

If anyone is interested, we managed to find that the problem only occurs if the game is installed on an external ssd.

If the game is moved from the ssd to the internal hdd the problem does not occur. Formating the ssd and moving the game back did not fix the problem. Other games launch fine from the external ssd.

The problem seems to be linked to (external?) ssds and (Rise of the Tomb Raider?) DLCs.

    SSD upgrade from HDD

Is it possible to upgrade my HDD to an SSD drive?

I have a 1TB HDD drive and I'd like to upgrade it to an SSD for improved performance.

I've searched around and only find references to an external SSD drive.

The Elite is coming out with a SSD drive, so I am quite curious. Even if the Elite is modified for the SSD drive.

    Hi SpandexFall35

Based on this article it would appear that 250GB would be smaller than the required 256GB hard drives, and likely will not work in the Xbox
One. If you're looking to add an SSD external drive, I would suggest using something 256GB or more.

Don't know if it is worth the risk but I have seen other users get the 250gb drive and it worked for them. If you were able to get the drive and if it didn't work and you could return it that may be a solution.

  6. Thanks for the answer, i think i'll stick with a 500GB usb3 drive for the first time. I'll continue to search for a proof.

Performance of my pc after some time playing games

My laptop has an SSD and an HDD, would the HDD work instead of the external hard drive? Windows 11 is running on the SSD not HDD.
