    External HDD & sometimes controller all disconnecting at random


    I'll be playing a game, so far MCC, PUBG, XIII, and rarely, but often enough to pose an issue, I'll get a Seagate Ready notification and on occasion, my controller will be flashing and resyncing at the same time too.

    This has happened a few times now, but is rare and inconsistent. I've played Halo MCC for a few hours with no issues, then been sat on the menu for 29 mins and have it happen.

    Playing a game on my external HDD and experiencing this issue will close the game and cause me to lose etc.

    Recently it's not been desyncing my controller, but closing externally stored game and simply having my external HDD become disconnected a split second at random is a serious issue.

    I really don't think this is a problem related to your profile. By any cas are you using an external HDD or SDD? SOmetimes the same issue happens to me and I have to unplug my external SSD to have the controller reconnect.

    Day One Edition Controller keeps disconnecting. Worst Customer Service ever.

    I might as well add on as well.

    Day One console with random controller disconnects. I bought a new controller thinking that was the issue... But the problem still exists. Everything will be working fine then all of the sudden the controller will start flashing. Normally it reconnects
    within 10 seconds but sometimes it takes longer.

    So can this get repaired under a warranty?

    Try this it has worked for some with external HDD issues. Disconnect the External HDD. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug
    the power cord back in and restart the console (DO NOT connect the External HDD). Once it is back up and operational then connect the External HDD and test for results. Good Luck!

    Hi!

    If you have the game installed on an external HDD, try disconnecting the HDD and connecting it to a different USB port. Turn on the console and try to start the game again.
