External HDD no longer default drive

The title pretty much says it all. When I first got my external drive I told it to download everything to the new external drive. Now that this new crap update has been forced upon us, everything is downloading to the internal drive & there is no option
that I've seen to change it back to the external. So now I have to wait for my item(s) to finish downloading & then move them.

i can't understand the route you head Chiefs at xbox are taking with this next gen crap. You guys are making horrible choices. If it weren't for the number of friends that I have & that play on this system, I'd seriously consider changing to a different
platform due to the stupid choices that are forced upon us. I pay good money for this service & 1/2 of this next gen crap is steps behind the 360. Doesn't make sense.

Xbox 360 Flash Drive Problem

I am attempting to use 2 flash drives to replace my Xbox External HDD. I formatted both memory sticks and transferred all my content over from the external HDD. However, when I turn off the xbox, remove the Xbox External HDD and restart it, I can no longer
see the 2 memory sticks in memory management. When I plug back in the Xbox External HDD, I can see the 2 memory sticks through memory management. Is it a requirement for me to have the External HDD plugged in to use the flash drives or am I just doing something
wrong?

Won't show up under external hdd

I bought Battlefield 1 and downloaded it to my external hard drive and can play it no problem. I took my hard drive to a friends to play and it will not show up under external hdd yet all my other games do. When I got home it no longer was list under external
hdd but I can launch the game from my home screen under my pins.

This is the first time I have seen this issue. I use an external drive for my primary drive and the update did not change it on mine like it did on yours. Not close to my system currently but is there no places under the settings manage your storage that
allows you to make the external the primary?

Not that I've seen, no. Only when I first formatted the drive to the console. But the update changed that for no real good reason. At least for me anyway.

Have you gone into Settings>Storage and made your external HDD the default drive?
