    External HDD needed

My HDD is going to his limit. I really need the external support soon. I don't wanna delete and install all games again and again. Without an external HDD the digital distribution are useless.

After Thief and Titanfall Release just 50 GB more or less left on my HDD. It's make me really sad. I shouldn't be a problem to "activate" external storage. Come on Microsoft make us happy and fix it with the march update!

    :)

1 - if you can try the external on another xbox to see if the hdd has died (it happens)

2 - try another external hdd on your system, to confirm your ports are ok (if not hardware failure and repair needed)

    Hope this helps

NEW NEWS. It has been confirmed as well as having to use an external HDD it also has to be a separate HDD to the game saves /installs one. Thus necessitatingb the need for a second separate ext HDD. That blows! So I would have to price in a new HDD as well as a TV tuner.

  5. Jumbo, I can relate to your situation. Unfortunately with the current internal drive size combined with games required to be installed and the massive size, you will at some point have to make decisions as to which games you want to keep installed.

One of the great things about the xbox one is all saved game data is synchronized in the cloud so while installing / uninstalling to make room can be an inconvenience right now, you'll always have access to your saved games.

Looking at the current install sizes I'm not sure any external is going to be an end all be all even when external support is available. We'll constantly be forced to manage data if you purchase more than say 8 games.

Transfer Data from one XBOX One to another

You would either need to redownload them, or you can connect an external HD and move/install your games to the external HDD. The External HDD requirements are that it is at least 256 GB in size and is USB 3.0. I have not verified that when connecting to
a different Xbox One that it will load the games correctly from the external HDD however.

    my games are gone

Were they on an external HDD or were they on the internal HDD of the console?

If external are all of the games that were on the external missing? If so try unplugging the external HDD from the console and then plugging it back in. If that does not work try plugging it into another USB port on the console.

If internal HDD then someone would have had to go on the console and request to uninstall the game from the console and you would need to just go into my games and apps and redownload and install. Or if it is a disc game you would need to put the disc back
    in and reinstall.
