    External HDD max cap.


    I was looking not upgrading my HDD, i have a 2tb now and was thinking of making the jump to an 8tb.

    Considering this jump will be fairly pricey i figured id ask if anyone has had problems doing so.

    The one i have now i plugged in and it was ready to rock, i see on some external hdd's that they need a program, anyone know more on this?

    all i know is it needs to be a 3.0 usb and more that 256gb.

    Yes but the external hdd can only be configured to have 16gb(max) .

    Hey,

    I don't think the max cap has ever been mentioned - not sure there is one.

    Another thing to consider is that you can connect up to 3 drives to your xbox one so you dont need to go for the largest one immediately. When prices for 8TB drop you could then plug one in and move all your games to it emptying the other two and start again
    with two free sockets!

    Just something to think about! Hope it helps! External HDD max cap. :)

    16gig is the max you can use for an external drive. A personal HDD doesn't have the proper firmware and license code.
