Discus and support External HDD Errors in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; on my Xbox one I am using a WD 1TB external HDD.     External HDD Errors


    on my Xbox one I am using a WD 1TB external HDD. Since yesterday I have been getting

    "Please try again

    For some reason -thing- took too long to start. (0x8027025a)"

    This has been happening to everything that is saved to the external. It also won't allow me to move things off of the external, or uninstall things from it. Every time I turned it off and back on, I get a couple seconds of it cooperating. Then it goes back
    to the same ole story, if I managed to load something before it happens then it freezes up while using said app.

    I'm thinking I need to defragment it or something, but I don't know how to do that without from the xbox interface. If you have any other options please let me know. I'm very desperate.

    External Hard Drive can interfere with XBL connection with NXOE

    NXOE crashed and when I did a hard reset, I couldn't get connected to XBL

    going into settings and testing connection would yield a "Hardware Problem, please send your console into repair" error

    I get into a support chat, and the rep told me to hard reset the console and unplug the external hdd and then power on

    it worked

    apparently, it's a known issue

    afterwards, you can plug your external hdd back and it should be back to normal

    Error code for three games

    All three of those error codes are also Windows error codes related to corrupted files.

    I see in another thread you tried unplugging your console.

    Uninstall all of those games you mention above.

    Unplug your console for 30 seconds (unplug from wall not just turn off)

    Turn the console back on

    If you are trying to install to an external HDD, try unplugging that and install to the internal HDD first.

    If you have an external HDD but are trying to install to the Internal HDD then unplug the external one anyway and try installing your games.

    If you are trying to install to an internal HDD, if you can get one try to install to an external HDD.

    1, Attempt to retry the install from the Install Queue

    2. Users still seeing a corruption error should try to uninstall/reinstall HW2

    3. If you are still experiencing an issue and you have an external HDD, one of the below options should be attempted:

    --Try to install to the external HDD

    --Copy other games and apps to the external HDD, factory reset the console, and then reinstall HW2

    4. If the game was installed to an external HDD, make room on the internal HDD by moving things from the internal
