External HD power saving mode

Hi,

i use an external HD on my Xbox One X (an Intenso Memory Center 3 TB, internally it's an Toshiba). Every time i play and pause for approximately 10 minutes, the HD goes to power savin mode and it lasts some seconds, until it's completely "back".

I tried to enable power mode in HD on my notebook, but it's not working. And it's really annoying.

Is there anything i can do to disable the power saving mode on my Xbox? Or anything else i can do?

I don't see how this could help me? It's not my Xbox which goes in power saving mode but my external harddisk.

Or am i wrong here?

I got response from the manufacturer some time ago, but i forgot to reply here. Sadly you can't change the behaviour of the harddisk regarding the power saving mode. :-(

I will think about it now. Maybe a new harddrive, whcih does not do things i don' want to. We will see.

There is an option to keep external drives powered up in the settings on xbox console.

Not at console at mo, but if memory serves me right, I think it's in power settings(most likely).

This may only be for when the console is off, but in instant on mode, and may not affect drive while console is on, but give.it a try?

You are going to have to chase this with the manufacturer which apparently is a German company as the PDF for the drive is only in German. Sounds as though the drive has a built in power save feature that needs to be disabled or set to a longer time.
