    External Hardrive gone bad


    My Toshiba external Hardrive that I have been using with my xbox for over a year stopped being recognizable on my xbox1. I tried everything on the support page that it told me to do and I also plugged it into a computer and it was recognized as being there.

    I know there is not much that can be done on Microsoft side. But I got banned for cheating today which made me think since I haven't even been able to play any of my games I was wondering if maybe Xbox thought that my Hardrive had cheating software on it
    and that is the case of why it stopped working and why I got banned. Could this be why?

    Please help super confused thanks

    Battlefront load times

    Load times on the console are bad from its 5400rpm hardrive. Try using an external ssd, or 7200rpm it may help a bit. I moved to pc ultra and my load times are much much better than console woth my 7200rpm hybrid hardrive.

    Hi Ive pre ordered and downloaded black ops 3 to my external hardrive, if I take my console and external hardrive round my friends will it work without corrupting the file ? As the external hardrive will be unplugged from my house to his. I did this last
    year and I had to re download the game at midnight which wasn't fun

    Thanks for the reply, ive got a few more questions if that's ok ? 1. When I get prompted to download a system update where would that memory be taken from internal or external drive. 2. Game updates would the memory get taken from whatever Hardrive the full
    game is on. 3. If I remove the Hardrive or it breaks are my digital games and save data gone ?

    what i did to fix it was got an external hardrive put all of my staff on my xbox harddrive and put it on the external

    and i formatted the xbox hardrive

    then i run the update and it worked

    Which Xbox One model would be best 4 me?

    Currently it would be hard to find an Xbox One with a hardrive with more than 500GB, that being said you should invest in either an external hardrive or a new hardrive with at least a 1TB.
