    External hard drive will not load games


    Okay so I have been having this issue for a while and I finally figured out that my external hard drive is the problem. I have a WD passport 2TB and it's only about 10 months old. Not all but most of the games downloaded on it wont load and give a error
    code that just tells me to reset my xbox. I've narrowed it down to my harddrive but is there anything I can do to fix this so I dont have yo re download a
    [Mod Removed- Inappropriate] ton of games and buy another hard drive? Thanks in advance

    Can't load games or manage games + error 0X8027025a

    I have tried loading games both on the internal hard drive and external.

    I've disconnected my hard drive and tried to load games that are stored internally and this hasn't fixed it.

    Did Any one Else have issuse when transferring data from xbox one to xbox one x?

    Do you have an external hard drive plugged in to your xbox.

    Do the games load ok from your internal drive. might be worth unplugging your external drive to make sure and load a game from internal drive.

    Games on external Hard Drives

    You could try uninstalling and reinstalling the games on your external HDD if they somehow got corrupted.

    If the game still refuses to load (but loads fine on the Internal), I'd completely erase and reformat the external hard drive. Then, I'd reinstall the games on the external again.

    If it still acts up (or if erasure of the drive is interrupted due to an error), your external drive may unfortunately be showing signs of dying.

    A kind of fix is if it’s on a external hard drive move it to the internal and it will load the game up this is for Xbox one
