External hard drive was missing so i bought another one now it wont play games says it needs ...

got new hard drive now wont play . i got 360 missing the extrenal hard drive and bought one now how do i update with no internet

Fable the Lost Chapters

I bought the first Fable for the Xbox 360. I was told I could use it in the 360 if I downloaded the updates and had an external hardrive that has at least 250 gigs available. I have both but the external hard drive I have is not an Xbox hard drive. I
have formatted the hard drive for the 360 and use it to save my current games on but it wont let me download the updates and says I need an Xbox 360 hard drive. I have the internal hard drive for the 360. Is there anyway to figure out whats wrong with it
and get the updates so I can play the games in order since I just bought them all.

Help! System won't let me update!

I recently bought a used 360. when i tried to connect to xbox live it tells me that i need to download an update. After downloading and system reboot the system tells me

"some xbox 360 features are missing or corrupt. A system update is required to replace them. Your console will now restart,"

I have used my hard drive and have tried an external hard drive to download the update but it wont let me. Help!

Hey there -

Could you clarify a bit here? The Xbox 360 hard drives are generally plug and play. What kind of hard drive did you get? We need a bit more information to go on here.
