  1. External hard drive support on Xbox One

As we all know, external storage for Xbox One is coming in the future. Allowing game installs to external storage should be easy; all they have to do is format the hard drive to the console, like what Nintendo does with the Wii U.

I love the Xbox One's interface, I love the new Kinect, I love using voice commands, I love the "Snap" feature for multitasking, but the lack of upgradable internal storage is a downer.

    :)

Xbox One Hard Drive Support Coming Soon, Teases Microsoft

i personally hope/wish they give the ability to play music from a hd and use in game... (this would help twitch streamers as well) if/when i go hd u bet its 1tb+ so they better let the cat out of the bag what they will support and i sure hope its not a locked exclusive that sells directly from microsoft as a add on for big dollars.

It is great that a update is coming out for Xbox One as the One gamers are gonna run outta space with the size of the games and updates etc.

I wonder if they will also add an update to use an external hard drive for the Xbox 360? Would be good for the 360 gamers also due to Games with Gold and with people wanting bigger hard drives to store all there data. A hit two birds with one stone sort
of deal? Might post this on the feedback forums External hard drive support on Xbox One :)

  6. this new generation seems to be a little off on their dealing with hard drives. sony allows for upgradeable internal hdd, but no external support, while microsoft is supposed to let you use externals but you'll be sol trying to up the internal size...and
both started out with only 500 gigs, which is good enough for last gen, but isn't worth much on the new systems considering the emphasis on digital and game installs.

i'd take a ps4 or xbone in a heartbeat, but i'd be more interested in them if they could break a terabyte out of the box...

  7. Yeha I do hope the HDD support comes soon. I say this in pretty much every thread that talks about this, but I am soon going to be out of space :-o lol

Honestly, 500 is enough for me. I delete and trade in my games when I'm done. 100 gb is plenty for me.

  9. brandiesel, my only problem with the space is when games start to get a little bigger in size. Like how some 360 games came in at 3 - 4GB but then went up to 6 - 7GB as time went on. You are right though, once finished with a game you can always delete for
    space.

Didn't this already happen with the 360??

At one point 100GB was the biggest you could EVER buy.... Then things changed.

  12. Yeah Kaos. I mean I don't doubt that bigger storage space will come in future X1 models but I will be pleased with just the USB support once it arrives External hard drive support on Xbox One :)
