    External Hard Drive not recognizing on Xbox One


    Ever since the new Xbox One Experience update, my external hard drive will not show up on the Xbox via media player or under system storage.

    Here is what I have tried and know;

    ALL usb ports on xbox have been attempted

    Tried reformatting hard drive to different types per other forum posts, no luck

    Hard drive is on a dock that IS usb 3.0 capable

    Worked perfectly fine before update

    PLEASE help me, I really wouldn't want to revert back to factory settings to fix this issue but if that IS THE ONLY FIX, then so be it.

    Perhaps your child's external hard drive is not working. Is your child's external hard drive recognized by the Xbox One? Does it turn on any lights?

    Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear that the issue is persistent on the External Hard Drive.

    Have you tried connecting the hard drive to a PC?

    Does the PC recognize the external hard drive?

    Does the external hard drive meet the specifications for the Xbox One?

    If the problem persists, I recommend to try a different external hard drive on the Xbox if possible. One thing we want to make sure, Are the ports on the Xbox One functioning?
