    Hi,

    I have an external HDD attached to my Xbox One and have/had Halo and Sunset Overdrive installed. I have made sure all my games are installed on the HDD too. I was playing Sunset Overdrive this morning. I turned off my Xbox one and unplugged the HDD to take
    it to a friends and when I plugged it into my friends Xbox One and started it up (and signed in as me) it now wants to download the whole of Sunset Overdrive and Halo again!?

    Have I done something wrong?

    Losing external hard drive.

    Whenever I shut my Xbox down and start it up later it doesn't recognize my external hard drive. Change ports in the back and then it works. Then shut it down and the same thing happens. Been doing this since the last preview update. I'm thinking its software
    but has anyone else had this happening to them?

    Hi Nnooo! Good question. Let me ask, do you have Sunset Overdrive on Disc? If so, you do have to have the disc inserted in your friend's drive to be able to verify ownership and play it. If it's digital, however, I'm not too sure what could be causing this
    issue... signing in is supposed to be all that's necessary to verify ownership of digital content. Curious....

    Unfortunately, if your child's external hard drive is not being recognized by the console, you will need to format it or format it using the PC or notebook, but by doing so you will lose all the saved games you have on the external hard drive.

    Hello! After losing my game data (more than once) I invested into an external hard drive in order to ensure that I won't lose my game data again. Here is a link to the external hard drive I got but of course you can find cheaper options.
