    EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE KEEPS DISCONNECTING


    Out the blue my external hard drive started disconnecting time after time and wont stay connected long enough for me to do anything, And yes power adapter plugged into to the wall diff usb ports etc. Can anyone please give me a explanation as to why this
    is happening ???? Its a "Seagate 1tb backup plus Slim"

    Do not uninstall from the external hard drive, just disconnect from your console. When finished resetting, do a fresh install right into your console's internal memory. Keep the external hard drive disconnected.

    It is possible the hard drive may be failing. I would try to format it once before jumping to that conclusion.

    If you have an external hard drive connected via USB disconnected and it performs a power cycle, check for the same error without connecting the external hard drive

    I am having same issue with a brand new hard drive. Keeps given me error message about the external hard drive been disconnected when it has not.

    It just started so far it’s happened twice on Vikings wolves of midgard.

    This hard drive is less then a month old at its the white seagate hard drive for Xbox.
