    External Hard Drive Keeps Disconnecting


    I got an Xbox One X yesterday and i used an external Hard drive to transfer my games and settings. It all worked fine and all my games where there but when i turn the Xbox off it disconnects the Hard drive so when i turn it on next time none of my games
    are there. When i go on storage settings the hard drive doesn't even appear. When i turn the console off by holding the power button and then turn it back on everything is fine till i turn it on standby again. Its annoying because im downloading Ark Survival
    but it keeps downloading it in the internal drive. Am i the only person getting this problem and is there a way to fix it?

    Also is there a way to download all my game saves from the cloud at once or do i have to do it every time i go into a game where it hasn't synced yet?

    Wait for a possible patch. More and more people are reporting this.

    Im in the same boat, gone back to 360 for media purposes.

    i havent had verymuch of an issue with this until this new update dropped. after 5 mins of my Xbox one being on the hard drive is not being read by the system. ive tried doing trouble shooting but nothing has worked

    Do not uninstall from the external hard drive, just disconnect from your console. When finished resetting, do a fresh install right into your console's internal memory. Keep the external hard drive disconnected.

    It is possible the hard drive may be failing. I would try to format it once before jumping to that conclusion.

    If you have an external hard drive connected via USB disconnected and it performs a power cycle, check for the same error without connecting the external hard drive

    I am having same issue with a brand new hard drive. Keeps given me error message about the external hard drive been disconnected when it has not.

    It just started so far it’s happened twice on Vikings wolves of midgard.

    This hard drive is less then a month old at its the white seagate hard drive for Xbox.
