External hard drive keeps disconnecting from console

A few months ago, my external hard drive started randomly disconnecting from my console, probably once per hour. This effectively makes my game crash if it is saved to the external drive. I have tried every solution I could find, but the problem persists.

I am currently using an Xbox One X OS version 10.0.18363.8124

My hard drive is a Seagate Barracuda 2TB part number 2FR102-300 connected via SATA to USB 3.0 using a Sabrent EC-DFLT.

Things I have tried (at least that I can think of) :

Completely restarting console and drive etc

Setting console power mode to Energy-saving (not instant on)

Replacing each the hard drive, the sata to USB converter, and associated cables with NEW hardware. (I had different hardware before, but essentially the same setup just different brands/models)

I am not aware of anywhere to collect error logs etc. Is there anything else I can do

Do not uninstall from the external hard drive, just disconnect from your console. When finished resetting, do a fresh install right into your console's internal memory. Keep the external hard drive disconnected.

Can you try a portable external hard drive? Are you using a power supply to power the Barracuda drive? If not, there might not be enough power coming from the Xbox USB port.

It is using external power, but i have not tested a smaller usb-only drive recently. I will do this soon

Try going to Settings > General > Power mode & startup

Click/unclick When Xbox is off, turn off storage and see if that makes a difference.

Remove the disc from the console, Turn off your console, disconnect your external hard drive and turn the console back on with the external drive still disconnected. Once the it has fully booted to the Home screen, you can connect your external drive again and then try running the disc
