Discus and support External hard drive help in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I formatted my 1TB external hard drive to my old Xbox one and downloaded some games on it and then I plugged it up in my new Xbox one and I didn't see...     External hard drive help


    I formatted my 1TB external hard drive to my old Xbox one and downloaded some games on it and then I plugged it up in my new Xbox one and I didn't see my games in the apps and games menu so I formatted it to my new Xbox one. Did I just delete my games that
    was on it because I don't see them anywhere?

    You're still going to end up formatting it on the Xbox anyway....

    HI

    If you formatted the drive again when connecting to another Xbox One then it would have deleted the games installed on it.

    For disc based games all you will need to do is put the disc back into the console and it will re install the game and if online the console will also download the game updates as well. As for games purchased through the online store if you go to My Games
    & Apps on the console on the left there should be a ready to install section where you can re download these games from.

    As for game saves as long as the console is kept online these should be stored on the Microsoft servers and will be downloaded again when required

    Are you using the internal drive or an external hard drive? If you are using an external drive try moving the game to the internal drive to see if that helps.

    Hi there,

    I would advise getting a different external drive like a usb flash drive that meets requirements and use that as storage.

    The problem you are experiencing could be caused by the hard drive just bearly meeting the required specifications, that's likely why it is getting hot.

    Be aware that you will need a usb flash drive with atleast 16Gb to be used with GTA V
