External Hard Drive has died, trying to install disc to Internal HDD but no luck...

Another question: are you trying to install to the internal hdd or an external hard drive?

i noticed you have an external hard drive in use with your console, are the games that are crashing installed on your internal or external hard drive?

if they are on the external drive it may be worth trying to move the install of the game to your internal drive and having another go.

Sorry to hear the steps didn't work out like we wanted. To clarify, is this a disc based game or a digital download? I understand that the game is downloaded to the console through Backward Compatibility, but I guess to clarify. Do you have a Forza Horizon
disc in the console tray as well? If so, can you ensure the game has no scratches or smudges on the disc.

Also, how is the game installed? Is it installed to the internal hard drive or maybe to an external hard drive. If it's installed to an external drive, can you try deleting the game and installing a fresh copy to the internal hard drive to see if that helps?

Hi,

The Internal hdd for the 360 must be a Microsoft branded hard drive - as these drives come in the correct compatible container to install into the hard drive bay.

The 360 also supports external USB hard drives up to 2TB and Flash drives.

Disc 2 is installed to the Internal HDD which is a Microsoft 500gb. Disc 1 is installed to the External HDD which is a Western Digital 2TB.
