    External hard drive failure

I bought a Seagate 2tb game drive for my Xbox one. I've had the drive for about a year. A couple months ago the games on the drive take forever to load up. Sometimes when playing a game the game will freeze and I will get a loading icon (depending on the
specific game that is being played) and all of a sudden the game will start playing again except it glitches. The graphics for everything that I can see will be blurred out like the textures are completely gone. Sometimes my character will fall through the
map and fall forever depending on the specific game. Ghost Recon Wildlands is notorious for this. I recently moved my most played games to the internal hard drive and do not have an issue. I tried plugging the xbone straight to the wall to see if it was a
power issue. I tried doing the offline update. I reformated the external by hooking it to a 360 then to the PC and reformated it again there then connected it back to the xbone with the same issues. I used different USB ports on the xbone. When connected to
the PC the drive didn't give any errors. I also tried another USB cable. One thing I have not tried is using the Seagate tools from their website. If anyone has a possible fix for this I would love to hear it. I don't have the money to run out and buy another
    exhdd.

    :)

As an idea for xbox one hard drives because they are internal and not external try plugging in an external drive to save or transfer all important games to external hard drive and leave not so important games onto internal drive
that way you can take them anywhere and not have hard drive failures with xbox one.

    External hard drive failure

    Hey there,

Thanks for posting! This is definitely an odd one, but it looks like you have included the steps we would normally recommend. The next best step will be to check in with Seagate to see if they have additional steps to try, or attempt using the tools mention
on that page. Additionally, perhaps try trading spots with games that do exhibit weird issues with other games on your internal to see if that helps in the long run. If games do take too long to start, that may indicate a read speed issue.

Hope this helps, keep us posted if those Seagate tools help out!

My hulu will not launch after the update on the 12 of this month anyone know why?

It's an Xbox one says failure to load. I loaded it on an external hard drive and it didn't work also so my drives are definitely good on the xbox

    External Hard drive.

I use HGST externals with my PC, which rate very highly in reliability tests and are also nice and fast. While Seagate have some solid drives with low failure rates, a couple of theirs have terrible failure rates, so make sure you avoid those. Have a look
    here: -

    www.backblaze.com/.../best-hard-drive

For instance, the Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 has a 1 year failure rate of 43%, which is terrible. I don't know if that drive is used in their externals.
