    Yes they will. Mine do whenever I have instant on mode selected..

    Mine do not, any ideas on how to fix this?

    I have auto updates turned on, I have a 4tb HDD that is powered. My games and apps do not auto-update. I have even factory reset my Xbox one. Please help.

    Do I need to set my HDD as my default drive? Do I need to uncheck " When xbox turns off, turn storage off?"

    No. Whenever i use instant on i get updates regardless of what drive it is on. I have the turn storage of setting switched on.

    Hmm.... My xbox just will not check for updates for games on my external hard drive. I have to ipdate them manually.

    My HDD is powered by the xboxs own USB port. Maybe that's something to do with it?
