External hard drive and 0x8027025a

Hi there,

Since today, my external hard drive isn't anymore detect by my xbox one, sometimes it's works but i can't start a game or application, i have always the error code 0x8027025a, i tried to switch to another usb port and empty the cash (not sure about this
translation..) but it's actuallt doesn't works.

I don't know if it's because the last system update but before it, I never had this problem (i did it yesterday before to go sleep, there was no problem).

Now i'm a bit annoy 'cause 3/4 of my games and saves are on my EHD.

If someone have an idea of the cause and know how to solve it, I would be grateful to him/her.

Hi there have you tried plugging into a windows 10 computer and see if u can move your saved data

your hard drive may be damaged since that error code appeared to me when my hard drive was damaged and I had to change it

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to this issue with the External Hard Drive not being detected, have you tried the support article for Troubleshoot
external storage detection on Xbox One. If not, I would recommend trying the steps in this article for further assistance. I would also recommend changing out the cable that connects the external hard drive to the Xbox One console. You can also
try plugging it into another one of the USB ports on the console itself.

It's works but only if the game is stored in the internal hard drive and if the external hard drive is unplogging, even if the game is not stored in the EHD, if it's plug, it's doesn't work.

I think my EHD is damaged because i tried to plug it to my computer for format it but Windows don't recognized it.

I will try to command an another on Amazon and i will see if the problem persist.

I changed the usb cable and it seems to work but now if i try to run an app or a game, i've got again the error message 0x8027025a.

I don't like it but tomorrow i will try to format it, the others solution doesn't work.
