    Hello guys I'm going to buy a normal for pc External HDD with 500 GB that has 3.0 USB and i would like to know if there is no problem in it to be a 3.0 USB instead of being a usb 2.0 and i would like to know too if i can use all the space in it or if i can
    only use 32 GB?

    Is your external hard drive rated USB 3.0?

    Did you try your external drive on all the USB ports?

    If you have a PC or laptop and plug it in, does the computer detect it?

    The Xbox One supports all types of external USB 3.0 hard drives, but, could you let us know which drive you purchased please?

    External Hard Drive 3.0 USB

    Only 32GB of the drive can be used. However, if you have an Xbox One you can easily use the whole drive on that console.

    I have never tried using a usb 3.0 in an Xbox 360 so can't say for sure but I will look in to it for you and post here as soon as I get an answer.

    Seagate external hard drive for Xbox one x

    Is your Seagate drive a USB 3.0 drive. If it is a USB 1 or 2 then it will not be fast enough to work on the Xbox One. You would need to purchase a USB 3.0 external hard drive for it to work.

    Is it a USB drive, or are you using an external hard drive with a USB cable? If it is a cable make sure that it's a 3.0 speed connectable cable. I had an issue hooking up my external hard drive and I had to switch out the cable to a 3.0 and it worked
    fine after that
