External drives now takes a couple of minutes to be ready with latest update, this was instant.

After i installed the latest update around April 13th the external drives takes up to three minutes to be ready at start-up now,

this was instant before. Any reason for this?

This is Getting Ridiculous Now. Update for Dashboard NEEDED.

Console in Energy Saver takes about 2 minutes, while the one in Instant On takes seconds. The message for the External Hard Drive being ready doesn't bother me...I at least know it's ready! Lol.

The Xbox One fails at multitasking.

The O.S. just gets better and better...for me at least.

I'm in the preview and this build is even faster than the last...

The X Box One in Instant on is ready to go in mere seconds; hit power button on X Box, switch T.V. to correct input, and a couple seconds later...boom! I'm ready to play; used to take maybe 20 seconds before the update and now maybe 5?

The X1 in energy saver would take about a minute or so before, and now is ready before getting back from the kitchen with my tea.

Girlfriends X Box in instant on is the same way...5 seconds at the most.

No noticeable sidebar lag on either of the three consoles, though voice commands with Kinect seem to be faster.

Internet speed at my house: 45Mbs/20Mbs/40ms.

I.S. speed at her house:12Mbs/1.99Mbs/20ms.

When she had the 1.5Mbs D.S.L. package from AT&T there were some lag issues, though no more.

I've been timing it for about hour now my external drive comes on between few seconds to few minutes and stays active for few seconds than goes off then does same over and over while it's in instant-on opinion if put my console on Power save then the external
hdd goes off after about 5-10mins and stays off.

I'm now just thinking is this new power setting within the October update to keep external hdd active in the instant-on opinion. As before this update it only came on when there was updates that needed downloading when console off.

You'll get a notification when the game is ready to play. The limits are different though so there's no way to say when this will be. What I can suggest though is to set your console to instant on and turn on background downloads so that the game will
continue to install while the console is off.

Another option would be to take your console (or external hard drive) to a friends house and see if they can let you install the update while there.
