External drive keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

I recently added "Collective Minds 2.5" Hard Drive Enclosure Media HUB - Xbox One" with "Samsung Seagate 2TB Laptop HDD SATA III 2.5-Inch (ST2000LM003)" and had been having what I thought hard drive disconnection and reconnection.
When I am playing games from the external drive, it will kick me back out to the dashboard every 15 minutes. When I am playing games from the internal drive, I keep getting message "External storage ready for use" every 15 minutes but it won't kick
me out to dashboard.

From what I read online, the HD draws 5V 0.85A and XBONE usb 3.0 outputs 1A, so enough to power the HD.

The HD hub has a power inlet that accepts AC Adapter 5V 2A, but I believe that is primarily to power the extra 3 usb ports that the hub provides. Should I plug in an AC Adapter to see if that will help power the external HD ?

If anyone has the solution, it will be very much appreciated it.

Games not appearing on external hard drive

After power cycling my Xbox I can't access any of the games on my external hard drive, the console recognises the external hard drive and knows that it is 68% full but nothing appears on it. None of my games on the internal drive will start either due
to the 'Taking too long to start' error. I've tried restarting, power cycling and reconnecting the power cable but nothing so far has worked. Disconnecting and reconnecting the external hard drive hasn't worked either. Has anyone had experience with this or
knows a fix?

Do you have any other USB devices connected? You can try the AC Adapter to determine if it makes a difference. Good Luck!

Thank you. Can you please disconnect the external drive then start the install to your internal? Once it starts you can then reconnect the external drive.

Hello!

I would try Shutting down your Xbox, disconnecting anything connected via USB to your Xbox, then disconnecting the power for about 30 seconds. Reconnect the power and power it back on. See if the games on the internal drive are working. If they are, reconnect
the USB devices and try the ones on the external drive. If it's not working try doing a factory reset, but select the option to keep games and apps.

Workaround: While the console is off, disconnect the external hard drive, power on the console, connect to the wireless network, and reconnect the external hard drive.

Try this it has worked for some users. Disconnect the external drive from the console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug
the power cord back in and restart the console (DO NOT reconnect the external drive yet) . Once the console is back up and operational reconnect the external drive and test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!
