    External drive died mid file transfer


    Hi all

    So my XBox one X drive was nearly full, so i bought an external drive.

    This brand new drive died about 1min in to transferring all my game files over and is now not recognised.

    I've returned the drive for a refund while i decide what to replace it with.

    Problem is, it will now not let me play any of the games, it throws an error and says the file move needs to complete for i can play.

    How can i tell the files to cancel trying to move to a drive that isn't there any more?

    Getting new xbox 360 concern:

    There's not a cord that connects a 360 to a PC to transfer files. You would need to save them to a flash drive or external hard drive.

    What type of files are you trying to transfer to the external drive? There isn't a way to move files to the drive through your network, but under Games & Apps, you can press the menu button on a game and move it while the external drive is plugged into your
    Xbox One.
