    External drive/controllers not connecting


    Hello, has anyone ever experienced an issue where your Xbox one doesn't recognize your external drive or let's your wireless controllers connect? Mine will not show up or connect at all on my xbox one, I have tried power cycling, clearing cache, trying different
    ports, and replacing my controllers. Currently at the end of my rope.....so if anyone has any clues I am all ears thanks.

    Ok great I will let you know the result later today.

    Ps if I'm running all my games off it versus the internal hard drive will there be latency issues or slow load times. I'll post the model number later today but I know it's speed is 5400 which I thought was the same as the internal of the day one Xbox ones

    My Xbox controller on my Xbox One only connects when plugged into the Xbox if I try to reconnect it with the button on the side of the Xbox and on the controller the Xbox

    Do you have any electronics near the console, maybe an external hard drive or something else that might interfere with the signal? I had a similar issue, when one of my external hard drives was too close to the connect button on the console, and it wouldn't connect to the controller. Once I moved it, it reconnected.

    If unplugging the external hard drive has assisted with resolving the connection issue regarding your controller, the cause may be due to wireless interference from the external hard drive. Our suggestion here, please attempt following our
    troubleshoot your Xbox One wireless controller support article.

    Try this out for us and then let us know the results.

    Xbox One Digital Download Transfer

    1. Plug external hard drive into Xbox One with good connection.

    2. Download games.

    3. Unplug external drive.

    4. Take external drive to Xbox One with bad connection.

    5. Plug external drive in.

    6. Play games.

    7. Say thank you.

    Note: External drive needs to be USB 3.0 and have 256GB of free space.
