  1. External Data Beyond 2tb.

    Hello,

I am looking to upgrade to a 4k gaming system. Where I would like to stay with the Xbox One X, I am leaning toward getting the PS4 Pro simply because their system will read "data" on an external drive up to 4 TB. I have a lot of personal photos and HD
movies and do not like being limited by the 2 TB limit that is currently available for "data" drives.

I learned about this limit the hard way... I was lied to. The system will read a "game" drive up to 16 TB, the salesperson assumed it would work for everything. Even Microsoft was clueless when I contacted them. Not just once.

So, I ask, will this be available in any upcoming update? Sony offers this and to be honest, I am ready to trade in my Xbox one that I currently have for the PS4. I haven't yet as I have a lot of games for all the months of my Gold membership. So... since
I am looking for a 4k system, and I have a One regular... Unless this will be addressed by Microsoft and fixed... I cannot see spending over 400.00 on a system that cannot accommodate my needs when there is another on the market that will. I am really tired
of having to swap drives....any data on my 4 TB drive now is not available for viewing on the xbox, but is fine on my computer.

I hope to hear an answer within the next 7 days as I will be getting my new system very soon.

Thanks and I look forward to your response.

    :)

Transferring Installed Games from one External HD to another External HD?

Okay so I recently installed all of my physical games (100+ 360 games) onto a 2TB external HD. I was running out of room on my 2TB Xbox One external drive so I upgraded that to a 4tb drive. My original Xbox one 2tb HD was the green Seagate 'xbox' branded
unit So I want to use that now for my 360. So I want to tranfer everything from a 2tb external drive to a different 2tb external drive.

When I go to transfer the data, it will only let me transfer downloadable content and downloaded games purchased from the xbox store - it will not let me transfer installed game data. Is this normal?

I really dont want to have to re-install 100+ games, that took me like 3 days to complete!

    Thanks

    -Nick

  3. Hard drive options?

Hi there, from major nelson's blog 'Larger external USB hard drives – Plug in any external USB hard drive up to 2 TB to store your Xbox 360 downloads, profile, saved games, and other data'

    majornelson.com/.../xbox-360-system-update-now-available-adds-support-for-2tb-hard-drives

It basically says any hard drive up to 2tb so I'd plug in just about any, just be aware that it will format that drive and you will lose any data on there so make sure you don't want anything on there.

Also it will work the same as the 'internal' storage on the machine, so games, saves, profiles, music etc.

Windows 8 / Xbox Video streaming / download issue

I had the same problem with a 2TB external drive. Kept trying to download there, and it wasn't there. Plug it in, and tell it where to download again and you'll be good.

Anyone else have problems with the damned downloads just starting over for no reason? This program is beyond broken...

    Where is the 2TB

If a Flash drive is 32GB it's 32GB, you can't give it more storage space. The same way that a 'pint' glass holds 1 pint, it can't hold more.

2TB is the maximum Storage an Xbox 360 supports. To get 2TB, you'll need a 2TB drive.

Don't bother looking for cheap 1 or 2TB Flash drives, they're fake. There are real 2TB drives, but they cost $1500!

All you need to buy is an external hdd. A 2TB external hard disk is about $80.

Subject : 2TB hard drive for xbox 360

Is there 2TB drives for Internal use or can you make your own from a shell and a WD 2TB drive or will these 2TB drives not be useable inside the consoles, 2tb only useable externally?

    Thanks for any clarification
