Extending an Xbox Live subscription

How do I extend my Xbox Live Gold subscription? There used to be an option in the membership section on the Xbox One, but now it's not there. I even looked at my Microsoft account online and it's not showing. Is that not an available option anymore?

My Xbox live won't work and I have a subscription for 1 and it has not been a year

i have the same problem even tried extending the subscription but that didnt work either

Gold subscriptions do stack. You can add up to 36 months of time that way.

Error code is displayed when trying to use a pre paid Xbox Live subscription code when your Xbox Live gold is still in effect. You must wait for the subscription period to end before you can use the code. Pre Paid subscription codes cannot be used to extend
