Extended Warranty, duplicate CC Authorization

I bought the extended warranty online yesterday and everything went great. Received my confirmation email and went on with my day. When I checked my account last night I noticed I my credit card was authorized twice for the full amount.

I contacted Xbox chat support and they said I needed to contact Microsoft support. I'm chatting the MS Support now and they aren't any help either... So I'm hoping someone can take a look at my issue.

The only people who would be able to help are Billing Support. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do on the forums, we do not have those powers to look at your account and/or help with billing issues.

Did you get this sorted? I'm having a similar problem, where my bank is blocking me from purchasing the extended warranty plan as it detects that a duplicate payment is being attempted by the Xbox payment system.

Not really.... I still have the two authorizations on my card, but I now also have a charge that has gone through. At this point I'm thinking the authorizations will drop off but it certainly hasn't been a normal process.

besides any self repair is not allowed to be discussed nor is it allowed on xbox live

this is what extended warranties are for

no manufacturer will allow self repair you must take it to an authorized repair center and there is only 1 the xbox repair center in your region

it is upto you to either buy a extended warranty or purchase a new console or pay for a repair

wear and tear is never covered beyond the warranty periods

remeber when purchasing something used it is buyer beware
