    Extend KINECT cable using CAT cable


    I just got the XBOX One with the Kinect. I have a finished basement and had run a number of spare CAT6 cables in the wall from the screen location to the electronics rack at the back of the room. There is no way to run additional wires as the room is finished.

    So, can I cut the Kinect cable and splice either end onto the CAT6 cable in order to mount the Kinect at the screen and connect it through the CAT6 cable to the electronics rack on the other side of the room ??

    Will this work and if so any suggestions ??

    If not, any solutions ??

    XBOX one X over HDMI extender

    Hi,

    I played my XBOX One S over a HDMI extender with CAT 5e cable and had great quality. I just got a XBOX one X and using the same extender and cable I now only get a black screen. The extender is rated for 4K at 60 Hz. Has anyone had a problem or a recommended
    solution?

    Connecting xbox one to 2 tv's in separate rooms

    If I used a USB to cat extender could I use power line adapters.

    So it would go wired controller into USB to cat adapter then cat cable into power line adapter,
    Then downstairs another power line adapter with cat 5 coming from it plugged into USB to cat adapter with USB cable into the xbox

    I hope you know what I mean

    So far you cannot use a cat6 to extend the kinect. So far the only extension I can come up with is in the UK

    www.amazon.co.uk/.../276-0974958-4478012     . It looks like a proprietary USB 3.0. They may make a balun that will work with a cat6.

    Id recommend getting a Cat 6 Ethernet cable and running a wired connection. It's a cheaper alternative to a wifi range extender. Monoprice usually has the best prices for cables.

    The remote controls TV/receiver power and volume through Kinect, or an IR extender cable (cable not included).

    You need Kinect or IR Extenders.
