Discus and support ext hdd xbox issues in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; i have just transfered all my games onto a larger ext hdd which was easy enough but how do i re use the old ext hdd for media again if it doesnt...     i have just transfered all my games onto a larger ext hdd which was easy enough but how do i re use the old ext hdd for media again if it doesnt register on my laptop,the only place i can see it is through devices and printers but i cant do anything with
    it

    Game update.

    Is the game installed on your Console HDD or an Ext HDD? I had issues before with games that were originally installed on the console and then moved over to the Ext HDD

    Thanks for your help, still got stumped a bit but it seems to be ok now, i right clicked the box and created new simple volume and it is now showing under this pc, does that mean its working properly now

    Right click the start menu button on Windows 10, and select disc management. From there you should be able to see the drive, right click the drive you want to format for PC use, and a menu should pop up with the options to partition it, format it, ete,
    etc. Once you have done that, you should be able to use it for PC use.

    Would this External Hard Drive Work

    Any ext. hdd will work as long as it supports usb 3.0. I'm using a Seagate Backup Plus 2tb ext hdd and it works great!
