    i just got an ext hd for xbox one. if I have a game on my int hd that gets a big update will the update dl to my ext hd? or will I have to clear space on my internal hard drive for it.

    Hi there.

    The updates save to where the game or app is saved. If the game is on the internal drive, that's where the update will save to.

    All game data associated to a game, with the exception of game saves, will be installed on the appropriate drive the game is installed on.

    Xbox should be compatable with external hard drives.

    after all this time microshaft finally added an update to 360 to now allow full usage of any ext hard drive.

    I have tried to transfer games to the ext drive and from the ext drive and it just clocks and sits at 0% completed. I can delete games from the ext drive but I can't add games to it. Finally I just decided to try and format the ext drive to and it just
    clocked and never formatted the drive.
