Explanation on Game installs

Hi

Im new to Xbox and just wanted to get an explanation on how the discs work. I read that each game needs to be installed on the Xbox before it can be played, I have downloaded the Blue ray App, and have about 8 games on the machine (4 of which are ones that
were put on with a code). Now each time i want to play a game i need to uninstall something, I just want to make sure thats right because its ALOT of stuffing around to play a new game now.

Two games to install I did not buy

Just saw that these two games are part of a free-to-play weekend with Games with Gold. That must be the explanation. They must automatically show up in the Ready to Install list.

If you have already redeemed the code (and do not remember it), you can check that the game appears in the section "Ready to install" from your console.

Otherwise, you can contact the seller to ask for explanations.

 

You shouldn't have to uninstall anything each time you want to play a game. Once you install the games you won't need to uninstall them unless you just want to remove the game or you need to free up space. If you're uninstalling them because of space, you
can add an external hard drive for more storage space.

Like what Smwutches said, you don't need to uninstall anything.

You only need to insert the disc every time you play your game and update it (when required).
