alright I have been an xbox customer for quite sometime and I can honestly say I have had nothing but issues with them. They love to take money from people but not fix the problems that cause us to ask for help in the first place. Back in October I placed
a call to the customer service center because I was bring harassed by another player and blacking them was not working. I was told by the rep that I had to change my gamer tag in hopes to fix the issue at this moment I was charged 10.71 which was nonsense
since I was a victim of harassment but not the point due to their lack of filters when picking a gamer tag I picked a name that they changed today. I called the customer service as normal to see if they could alter my gamer tag because they had made me change
it to protect me from harassment which did not work and had a rude representative give me nothing but excuses of why he couldn'couldn't help me but expected me once again to pay 10.71 to change my gamer tag for a mess up.on their system because they will not
stop harassment on female players and protect people from these crimes. So yes I am debating on taking actions further on the lines of the better business bureau because of your lack of common sense and allowing harassment. Since all you want to do is charge
money and not help anyone.

Why would my xbox inform me my membership was expiring and ask me if I wanted to turn renewal on? And then do the exact opposite (or at least ignore) my reply? Why? It's incredibly misleading, and I'm sure you will understand how I was tricked into believing
it was not turned on? How can this possibly be acceptable practise?!

I'm 100% sure that has got to be illegal. It's complete fraud. It is natural that one would allow a message of this nature from one party to overide any previously held contract regarding the issue. It's beyond belief that this can be allowed to happen.

So I signed up for 1 month for £1, with the intention of trying it for 1 month and cancelling before the 2nd month.

About 2 weeks in, I signed in and a message came up. It said

''Your subscription expires on 17/07/2011, would you like to turn ON auto-renewal?''

It gave me two options. ''Yes'' and ''No''

I selected ''No''.

Then I think it gave another message saying ''You can turn on auto-renewal at any time by blah blah...''

I thought that was good because now I would not have to cance. Obviously I thought auto-renewal was not turned on. That's pretty understandable, right? I mean, I would have no cause to expect it to be on, having been informed my service was expiring, been
offered the chance to turn auto-renewal on and selected no.

I'm sure you can guess the next part. I find out that on the same day they asked me that question they emailed me (I don't check this email often because I set it up only for the purpose of using it for xbox live...), telling me auto-renewal was 'ON'.

Please don't insult me by suggesting I pressed 'yes' instead of 'no'...

What a scam. I was not expecting the question and would have phoned to cancel, the question was asked and caused me not to phone and cancel. Absolutely outrageous.

 

She's actually a very close and dear friend of mine, and I can verify she's absolutely soaking the truth. For the simple fact that she's a female gamer, she constantly gets guys trying to hit on her.

 

The way they treat players is beyond poor. I am a female gamer and they make me pay them more to protect me how does that make sense. I get harassed and get told sorry we can' help you but if you swear while in parties you get suspended but not if you threaten
to bend me over anyway you can think of what is wrong with you people
