Expired name your game redemption

I had a similar issue with an older game recently; it turned out that the code was expired. While many codes have no expiration date, some, unfortunately do. Check the area with the "fine print" and redemption terms, etc., to see if there is an expiration
date for your code.

There are two possible reasons why you are seeing this message.

The first possibility is that your Xbox Game Pass subscription has expired. If this is the case, you will have to renew your subscription to be able to play Red Dead Redemption in free roaming mode.

The second possibility is that you have downloaded the Xbox Game Pass version of Red Dead Redemption. If this is the case, you will have to purchase the full version of the game to be able to play Free Roaming.

Just to clarify a point here. Currency that is converted from Microsoft Points does expire one full year after redemption. But any currency added to your account directly does not expire. So, just a recap: Points Cards = Expire after 1 year, Currency
Cards = Don't Expire, and expiring currency is always used first.

Hey that worked. Apparently if your subscription expires they make you pay for a month before they let you use a redemption code

If it's still within the 90 days of redemption then your points will be used on the purchase, if its after then it might be tricky, because they do expire after that time.
