Experiencing lag on battlefront

hi. My son is experiencing a lag on battle front when playing online. When he is moving forward he jerks back over. Does anyone know if this is likely to be due to our wifi not being strong enough? Or I have read that it could be due to ports not being open
but that is a little beyond my understanding. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Haha. Got confused on that. I thought for a second "wait is fable really out?". I even checked the site for any updates. There is no release date as of yet for Fable Legends. I got excited for a bit there. But I hope they can release it sooner so I can start playing.

 

Anyone experiencing Lag Lately?

Yes it has been hit or miss lately. But keep in mind, 2 of the top multiplayer games for xboxlive are currently pounding the servers so its going to be iffy. Its always iffy around thanksgiving and christmas EVERY year.

 

Lag can be caused by a few things and can be tricky to narrow down. First of all how far is the XBox from your WiFi modem/router? If it's in a different room or a fair distance away it could be that the signal is a little weak or, if it passes through thick
walls or walls with metal in them this can also cause issues. It could also be caused by your internet speed or issues at the time of playing and, yes, ports can have a say if they're not open but that's more likely to stop you from playing than causing lag
in general.
