Expat living in China which console to buy

Hi all really need some help here I will try to make it as simple as possible, I am a brit living in China for the last four years

Already have Xbox 360 however

I want to buy an X1 console

I can buy a Hong Kong version which I believe is english langauge

what i dont know much about is buying games from the xbox store digital download

if the Hong kong X1 is region locked will i only be able to buy games from HK store ? as the information if the game langauge is English or Chinese is limited

My xbox account is the UK will this be a problem living in China

Also how does the whole digital download and purchase work, does it download to the console or to your pc, really no exprience of this at all

Hey, I'm an expat living in China and I was wondering if there is any way that I can purchase games using either Alipay and a union pay debit card? These are the two methods that I can pay for things in Yuan as that is the currency I am paid in.

The debit card may work. China is a supported Xbox Live country so give it a shot if it’s all you have to try.

Hong Kong Version is good for you.

And there is no region lock on xbox one.

Language and store goes with xbox location setting, if you like you can set to US /UK region on your xbox one console.

You can purchase games via console / xbox website / smartglass apps. If your console's power setting is instant on, after didital purchase, xbox console will download new purchase items and updates automatic.

I have ordered a European version X1, it should arrive in a few day, now another problem my xbox account is in the UK and I have tried to add my UK credit card via the internet as a payment option from CHINA, and it has been refused, I contacted my bank,
no issues there, so now I don't know how I will be able to purchase a gold live account or digital games, if I change my account region to China, will I only be able to use China Xbox store ????? confused !!!!

 

I have been able to purchase gold account using my debit card, so hopefully I will be alright
