EXISTING GAMETAGS TO MICROSOFT FAMILY ACCOUNT

    Hey grahame

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are experiencing difficulties with being able to add a family member to your account.

Its likely that the email that is associated with the account you are attempting to add is not correct. Creating an account only occurs when the email address is not associated with another Microsoft account.

That being said, instead you can attempt to add these family members to your account by

    adding your account
    to your console and then
    adding them to your family.

    I hope this helps.

Looks like you found a glitch in the system.

It's possible to remove this gametag from my Microsoft's account, so I can move, via console, another gametag to this Microsoft's account?

Help, I lost my email for my Microsoft account and I can't get it back

I understand your concern and am extremely sorry to say that account recovery is not possible with gametag only, I will suggest taking your time, checking your existing email older mail, and consulting with your friend if they remember the email, because we simply cannot verify the account only with gametag, I hope you understand.

what dose the # mean at the end of your gamertag

With the gametag changes, you can now enter a name that already exists. Example: Your Name # 1234 (as it already exists, is assigned a number to differentiate)
