Exchange Program/small white spots 2 questions

Hi guys,

UPS delivered my replacement console this morning, unfortunately after opening I discovered a dent near the rear of the console(OCD). The side vent had a few scuff marks, so I was able to simply swap it over. Microsoft have told me to set up another exchange
once the old console arrives in Germany. The most alarming for me was when I unplugged the old console, I notice hundreds of small white spots(stains) that wouldn't budge. I don't allow anyone near the console as it is, nor do I use any polishes on the piano
black. Anyone else seen these before? I remember getting these on my laptop a few years back.

Also has anyone else used the advance exchange program before, how did you guys find it and has the console been reliable?

Here's the spots I was talking about. I've had the exact thing with my old vaio laptop (piano black finish).

Any ideas? Surely my old xbox hasn't reached puberty!

I had a 360 repaired and sent back to me with the front plate damaged (Slim model).

I had to take photos of the box and console and email them off.

Ultimately, MS said it was UPS's fault, UPS said it was MS's fault.

Sounds like they sent a reconditioned console mate. The spots could be paint?

Yes when you go to the settings and see what it sees. I've got one small white spot constantly in the middle then when in the bottle right that flickers. Also when in black and white theres a line going across the middle of the box(what Kinect sees).

I don't want to exchange my console because I've only had the disc issue once and after reading everyone else's problems I hoping my console is ok!

I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

- Select Reset console.

- Choose Keep Games and Apps

Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

Hi Danielle! Sorry to hear about what happened. I appreciate all your efforts.

If the issue is specific to one game only and certain maps in it, then most likely it's a game bug. Since you've exhausted all the steps to try to fix that, it would be best to report or contact the game support here https://support.activision.com/options

If your other games are working fine, it shouldn't be an issue with your console.
