  1. Excessive Notifications?

I understand this is probably the wrong place for this question, but everytime I try to find the right place the webpage says that I've "found a glitch in the system" and won't load, so don't flame me for it, I just need help...

    Anyway...

I've had 2 seperate friends in the last week tell me that they keep getting notifications every 6 minutes saying that I log on, when I have been on Live the entire time, not idle, playing the same game without changing activities, opening different apps,
    etc.

They're getting sick of it, as would I. Anybody know of any solution? I've experienced no lagging in connection or gameplay, I'm hardwired to my router, and I have done a hard reset of my console.

    :)

    Excessive?

Since no one here works for the enforcement team we can't exactly say if it was a late ban or from the instance you're referring to. Suspension length can vary depending on severity of the action as well as any prior enforcement actions. So if you had previously
received suspensions on the account, that would have been what contributed to the 2 weeks.

Even though the game may be rated M, everything else on Live has to remain E for everyone.

  3. Excessive?

So, I'd like to state that overall as a gamer on Xbox, I do have my heated moments. However, I hardly go overly out of my way to start up any negative or inflammatory messages (Albeit some personal friends I actually live with do send the occasional playfully
    rude comment and such).

However, I do believe I was put under a communication ban over a completely censored word in ESO? For two weeks, might I add? It wasn't even an insult, no directed at anyone?

Listen, I get it, but the game is Rated M. It is. Rated. M. I am 21. In what way is my short expletive which is more of an unenthusiastic, and completely concise and short statement about needing better stuff, as my current armor was lacking on my character,
    worth a two week ban?

Is this just a late ban from events that happened over a week ago? I actually don't understand this one. I'm not even sure if this is a proper place to put this. I can't even be bothered with the Xbox Enforcement team stuff. It's not so much the people but
the method that's a hassle. Yes, Xbox is entitled to feel any sort of way about how efficient and precise it is (It's not, as many cases have been reported that an individual has received bans, suspensions, and other issues due to false reports or a misstep
from the Enforcement team as a whole.)

Again, I don't really care too much. Sure, I'll take a ban. It's not like I really talk to people on there. But two weeks over 1-2 words in a day? Without even insulting any players? In a rated M game? A game where you'll hear worse from the NPC's themselves?
Okay. Either I was banned for different reasons than any recent occurrences, or Xbox and Microsoft intend to be anti-cosumer with faulty policies and practices that can result in a damaged overall experience on their platform as a whole.

Did you ever solve this issue? I'm dealing with it now. I keep getting a buddy's notifications every six minutes while he is online. It's pretty annoying.

[BUG] Xbox 360 Excessive Gaming notification

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for coming to the forums. These sound like parental settings. The only place I know to change this, the parent would need to log into the account website and change the settings there.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Turn off notification when friends launch the xbox app

It seems that recent changes to the notification system have led to an increase in spamming alerts, which you were not used to before. It's understandable that you find this annoying, especially with the multiple platforms and apps where alerts are being sent. It seems that the fix attempt has inadvertently created another problem. Hopefully, the developers will address this issue soon and find a solution that restores functionality without the excessive notifications you already need.
