    Excessive email for Xbox Live Rewards


    Why is it that there are no other options to scale down the amount of junk email I get from the Xbox Live Rewards program? It appears that there is only two options for this program - all in (excessive junk mail about getting 5K points for purchasing some
    craptastic movies) or all out (removal of points and ejection from the program). It gets harder and harder to defend Microsoft when you strong arm your customers in this manner.

    Change your advertising options or give the user an option to reduce the amount of crap email they receive on a daily basis.

    meh, I agree $6 seems a bit excessive but I think I'm gonna cash in my Xbox Live Reward points so its effectivly free. I presume everyone knows about
    xbox live rewards link in case you want to take a look.

    Basically put - Free microsoft points

    As communicated on the website and to your email back in October, Xbox Live Rewards was transitioned to Microsoft Rewards in your region. Since you are no longer a Xbox Live Rewards member, you are not eligible for any Xbox Live Rewards offers.

    Here are instructions on how to change it -
    support.xbox.com/.../manage-live-id.aspx

    It will update itself on the Rewards program, however it won't be instant.

    Will I still receive Xbox LIVE Rewards Points if I change my Windows Live ID (email)?

    A. Yes. If you migrate your Xbox LIVE Rewards account to a new Windows Live ID (email), there may be up to a 96 hour delay before you can log into Xbox LIVE Rewards with your new email. You may even be prompted to re-register – just ignore this request,
    but it will not hurt if you re-register. If you attempt to log in with your new email but Xbox LIVE Rewards does not recognize you, you can always check on your points using your old email. Rest assured, once the migration is complete, your points will be
    moved, and you will be able to access the information with your newly linked email.
