Evolve vs Dying Light

I've been playing the Evolve beta a bit, even had a 4 player evac coop run with 3 friends. It could be fun, but a great portion of this game is not, unless getting your hunter exercise is fun. If we got a lvl 1 monster to play against, they'd feed often,
we'd find them, battle, good times. But then you run into a lvl 15 monster and they just out run you. Forever chasing, this will quickly wear out the up position on your controller. As for Dying Light, the setup seems similar, 4v1, but in a zombie apocalypse
and the 1 hunts the 4, not the other way around. If you're like me, trying to decide which of these 2 AAA titles to purchase, I think Dying Light is the way to go.

Evolve seems like it will get boring fast. Dying Light seems to at least have a lengthy singleplayer campaign. In Dying Light you wouldn't need MP to have fun whereas Evolve you would.

I'd get Dying Light, but my opinion may be a bit biased as I really like Techland.

 

I played the Evolve beta and it felt like all I did was a lot of running, I know there will be other game modes but I just sense I will get bored of that game quickly.

Being a zombie fan, I'm looking forward to Dying Light.

 

Get Dying light on disc play it through then trade it in, when evolve goes on offer buy it up.

Unless Dying light has something coop that makes it keepable, I haven't really looked)

 

Well Dying Light didn't necessity have a 4v1. There's a campaign you can do solo or with 3 other players. Only at night time can a human player enter your game as a zombie and try to take you out (optional by the easy). There will also be other modes coming
I believe and I'm sure it'll have some good replayability.

So I would go for Dying Light simply because it's more causal and easy to get into. With Evolve it's a learning curve and in order to really succeed in that game you need communication and strategy. Every hunter has to play their role. I actually really
enjoyed the beta but it's definitely not for everyone. It really shines when with a group of friends and that's a hard thing to pull off.

 

I have absolutely no interest in Evolve what so ever. I'm slightly interested in Dying Light so I'll be giving it a rent. But it's going to have to until I'm done with Saints Row 4 and Gat out of Hell

 

Well have to say, last night I finally hit my zone and groove for Evolve (playing the beta). Really getting used to the skills/abilities of each of the hunters, in each class. I just couldn't put it down. Played through the whole night. So much fun when
you know how to use hunting/tracking abilities (e.g. sound spikes, UAV, radiation dust etc...); and then all the fighting abilities (e.g. turrets, harpoon gun, tracking/tranquilizer darts, guns, dome trap etc...). There are literally a plethora of well balanced,
non-glitchy, intuitive abilities spread across all 12 hunters.

I was pleasantly surprised at how many times we (myself and randoms) played strategically enough, that we even beat the monster when he hit level 3 evolution (with full health and armor) at the power relay.

So…I’m probably going to buy Evolve now, as well as Dyling Light.

 

I've played enough of Aliens vs. Predator Multiplayer and Dead Island to not want either of these games.

 

With ya Doc. I already have Dying Light downloaded and will probably do the same with Evolve this weekend.

 

Evolve was interesting, but I feel like it would get boring quick. Dying Light looks alright too, but I dunno again. I wanna see what people say about them.

Yep, feel the same on Evolve. Overall it was fun the first couple of times but then wore out fast. My group went back to Destiny after a bit. All were in a agreement that it was cool but got boring quick and thats comparing Destiny....

 

I wouldn't get either but that cause neither appeal to me, I personally don't like zombie related games, but in your case I would probably choose Dying Light over Evolve, played a couple rounds in the beta and I can see it getting boring pretty fast.

I think Dying Light will have more replay value or fun factor for a longer during then Evolve.
