My Xbox One has broken. Something in the system. Some of my games do not work, those ones that do work do not have any sound (it is turned on in the games settings). And if I wanted to look in my Xbox settings, it wont let me.

Yea unfortunately thats just somehow how technology is.

Is there any error codes?

Make sure that the hdmi cable is in correctly.

Solutions,

1. Do the manual one,
Power cycle

While your xbox is off, unplug and re-plug all cables.

Hey there, GundarsBrants!

If your console is acting really weird and not up to performance standards another thing that you can do besides power cycling the console is to maybe try a reset following the steps here

Reset and Keep my games and apps .

If you straight up cannot access settings in order to do that, I would try resetting the console by following these steps

Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
Xbox button on the console.

Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

It should bring you to a page that displays Troubleshoot.

Once your get there, select Reset this Xbox and keep my games and apps.

Give those steps a try if you are still experiencing problems after a powercycle.

Lovebombay, i called xbox . they said i should check out the epic forums. they said i should mail xbox . they said i should talk to the guys on the xbox forums here. and NOW you're telling me i should go do this stupid cycle all over again? and what kind
of answer is that BUY MW3 & forget about gears ?? if you cant think of a remotely useful answer why are you wasting time posting this completely unhelpful reply?

Relaaaaaaaaax. There was a topic about this a few weeks ago, although I don't think I saw a solution to it. Try contacting Epic Games or Xbox Live and ask about it. If they don't help then just buy MW3 and break up with Gears. :3
