Everyone's IP is easily accessible and public information

Id like to address the fact that its impossibly easy to get someone's ip address. The main fact that everyone's ip is logged in a spreadsheet with our gamer tag is ridiculous. This is a massive problem because of doss which is slowing or crashing someone's
internet. This is usually used as a way to attack people and show your power. IPS are also directly linked to your location so anyone who looks up your gamer tag can find where you live easily. There's a few sites like this.

These sight can also be used to kick people from their own party which is stupid id really like a higher up to try and fix this

these are so easy to use and some you don't have to pay. So its its quick and easy and its all because Xbox has no protection of people's privacy

You do realize that by posting the name of those sites, you are in effect promoting those sites to people who read this? Your post might actually increase the number of people that use those sites.

All IP addresses are public information, they are not private in anyway.

an IP address can be obtained easily even without this site, it is what you do with the IP address that can be illegal.

When you connect to a party or a P2P game all IPs are broadcast, and this information is not private.

The IP address that the rest of The Internet sees one connecting from is public information. Without it being public there'd be no way to route traffic to one's device. Someone knowing the IP one's console connects from isn't an issue. It's by design.

To properly isolate your concern and provide you an appropriate solution, please clarify the information below:

1. Are you using a modem or a gateway?

2. Do you have a public or private IP address?

a. Sign in to your router settings.

b. Access either the status page or WAN settings page.

c. Verify or record the WAN or Internet IP address.

d. On your computer, go to the
What Is My IP Address site or the
IPmarker site to verify your public IP address.

If the IP addresses match, then your router is being assigned a public IP address and open NAT should be possible. If the IP addresses do not match, then your ISP is supplying you with a private IP address and open NAT will not be possible under the current
configuration.
