Everyone is Muted When I plug in the Stereo Adapter

This is strange. When I plug in the Stereo Adapter, everyone's mics all of a sudden goes mute and I can't hear what they're saying. But when I disconnect the adapter, I can hear everyone again. How do I fix please?

Px4 Headset, party voice not working

my first question...

1. Have you updated the controller via USB while this headset is turned on and plugged into the stereo adapter?

2. I dont have Turtle beach headset but maybe its worth asking TB support if you should use this adapter instead of the xbox one stereo adapter -

Sound (game only) should come in from the adapter wireless if you have connected the sound output correctly. It sounds like you have as it works, not plugged in.

Chat, is the only reason you are plugging in this into the stereo adapter so what I'm reading is that, when you plug in the headset, this is where the problem begins.

I see on the TB website that they are pointing everyone to "their" adapter.

Which adapter are you using? The Xbox One stereo adapter or the TB stereo adapter?

If its the Xbox One stereo adapter, I would suggest contacting TB support to understand the difference between the two.

 

the adapter seem to reset to default when you unplug it from the controller meaning you have to re adjust the volume settings every time you unplug it from the controller.

at least that's what i have to do anyways. imo it was poorly designed, they should of had dials for the 2 dfferent volumes rather than the way it is set up currently.

 

On the adapter, can you press the button with a person on it (with a little + on their chest)? It's possible your mix is set to 100% game volume for your headset, meaning you do not hear any party chat.

I just invited a random person and they could hear me, but in Plants vs Zombies, I always see players mic icons on screen but dont hear anything. Is it just a glitch?

 

My chat mixer is set on 'do nothing' and i pressed the person button p till i hear the beep.

 

In a PvZ lobby, though, it may show the mic icons but it does not necessarily mean they are actually broadcasting any sound. I think it even showed the icon for me when I was in party chat rather than game chat.

Try getting into party chat and testing it out.

 

Party chat works fine, but i feel like sometimes the adapter doesn't work in game chat.
