    Every time I try to sign in to youtube on my xbox one it shows the "Something went wrong"...


    I have tried about 20 times I have shut the app down hell I even uninstalled the app and reinstalled and it still tells me Something went wrong, sign-in failed, try again. I have accessed YouTube activation site on my phone and laptop and it tells
    me it connected fine. I even tried signing in with a different account and I still get the same error. The information given from youtube or even Microsoft in other instances isn't working and at this point.

    Hi Ellis,

    The best place as you already have done, is to report to YouTube. As it is their app they will be the ones responsible for you not signing into their app. Please keep us posted if you do hear anything on this as there have been other posts about the issue.

    You are correct it's reported through Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, that I know of. So I made the point of reporting it here to make sure we get a solution.

    Hey EllisClark,

    From what I could find it seems like you are not the only one with this issue at the moment, a lot more people have reported this issue the past 24 hours as found https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/9964811?hl=en.
    There isn't a lot of info on it yet but from what I understood a few people have contacted Youtube on Twitter and they are looking into it.

    Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with the YouTube app on the Xbox. I recommend to try the following article to help troubleshoot the app: Troubleshoot
    game or app installation problems on Xbox One    .

    If the problem persists, try doing a soft factory reset of the console,
    Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

    Try this out first and let us know the results.
