Every time I start up a game, I am immediately disconnected from Xbox Live

Hello everyone,

Since the day I got my Xbox One, Christmas morning in 2013, my system has had an issue with random disconnections from Xbox Live. I will be talking to my friends while on the home screen one minute, start up a game the next minute, and my friends would cut
out immediately. I had no idea what was happening, until I began to play Destiny some 10-11 months ago. I noticed that every time I would start up a game, ANY game, I would be disconnected from Xbox Live completely.

This may seem like just a small hassle, until you see that after I am disconnected, it sometimes can take literally up to 30 minutes for my system to reconnect to Xbox Live. I will sit there, "Test Internet connection", "Test Multiplayer connection", and I
always get the same error about not being able to connect to the Xbox DNS Servers, but there is no Error Code.

After some fiddling around, I usually give up trying to reconnect. When I leave my system sitting on the error screen, I come back within 20 minutes, and retry the connection, and it usually works. Afterwards, when I start up a game, it will then say it
is attempting to "Sync Game Data". If I get lucky, it usually goes away after 4-5 seconds, but that's VERY RARE. Most of the time, it tells me there was a problem syncing the data, but there is no error code once again. When the game cannot sync the data,
I am AGAIN kicked off of Xbox Live, and am forced to continuously retry the sync, until it finally works again.

I have been dealing with this since the day I got my system, and I've been violently frustrated with it ever since. I have tried fix, after fix, after fix online, and NOTHING has helped.

I have also checked with my ISP (Comcast) to see if it may be that I have too many things connected at once, and it started to mess with the signal once I added my console to the mix, but after a long phone call and some back and forth conversations, we
came to the conclusion that my internet was not the problem.

I also have a PS4, and thankfully it has not had the same issues, but I REALLY want to stay on my Xbox, because I have more friends to play with, and the multiplayer seems overall better developed and in working order.

Please, someone help me find a fix. I have been able to deal with it painstakingly for almost 2 years now, but with the recent release of Black Ops 3, I really want to have the freedom to jump back and forth between games freely, without having to wait 30-40
minutes to reconnect.

You should trying clear the cache on your hard drive. Instructions on how to do that here:

Might be your connection and are you on wired/wireless.

 

Try this: disconnect internet (configuration, network options), turn off (energy saving), turn on and reconnecting internet.

2 option: delete your profile (saved in the cloud, quiet) turn off console, turned back on and log in.

 

Or try unplugging your gateway or router+modem for 1-2 minutes, plugging them back in and restart your console: Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide, select settings, select restart console, and yes to confirm.
