Every time I log into live it asks me to update my security.

This has probably been asked before as it seems like a common problem but every time a log on, I get a message asking me to update my security questions and stuff to make my account safer. I have been through all the option at least 5 times and it fails
every time. It is starting to annoying me as it's been like this for nearly a year now.

Security Request at Login

Everytime I log in I get asked to add another security precaution thing. Even though it is already linked to my phone, I click "Yes this one works" and it still asks me to add another. This is rather annoying as it happens every time I log in. Is there a
way to stop this window from popping up when I log into xbox live?

 

Constant signing in and out

Fired up my Xbox on 12/23 and it downloaded an update. Took me about an hour to figure out what was going on with the security proof crap.

Now every time I start a game it disconnects me from Xbox live. Then I have to log back into Xbox Live to play the game. When the game is over, it disconnects me from Xbox Live and I have to log back in to get to my Xbox home.

If this is intentional as part of a security update, it sucks.

Anyone else having this problem?

Here are a few steps i have found that have been given out to other people having the same issue as you, See how they go.

Verify that you've added and updated your security proofs like phone numbers, alternate email addresses, and security questions and answers to your Microsoft account.

Delete Xbox LIVE profile safely

Go to Settings, and then select System.

Select Storage.

Select All Devices.

Select Gamer Profiles.

Select the gamertag that you want to delete.

Select Delete.

Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.

Clear Xbox system cache

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

Select Storage or Memory.

Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.

Select Clear System Cache.

Important: Clear your Xbox system cache 3 times in row.

Restart your console.

Download Xbox LIVE profile.

Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the center of your controller).

Select Download Profile.

Enter the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

Enter your Microsoft account password.

You may also want to go to http://account.live.com and make sure you have entered your security proofs and they haven't just vanished.

Hey, before you are able to redownload your profile and sign in without it prompting you to sign in again with your password, you need to have at least two security proofs setup on account.live.com.

- go to the website and sign in

- click on security information on the left hand side

- once you've verified the account by getting the code its asking for, you will then be able to update the phone number and alternate email

- be sure the email is different than the login email and be sure that both the phone number and email is verified and there is no link below either of them saying verify

- once done, you will be able to download your profile with ease and it will no longer ask you to update your security as long as you keep everything up to date

Be sure your xbox is off once your updating everything on the website
